Bookletters, a new service from Kingston Public Library and BookPage, offers book reviews and information on hundreds of authors, all easily accessible online. Readers can use the service either at home or at the library. To receive regular updates on books in special areas of interest, simply sign up for the BookLetters email newsletter service using an email address you check frequently. Reviews of recommended books in your favorite genres will be delivered right to your inbox.

A two-year membership costs $22.00 and entitles you to a discount on the discussion guides you decide to purchase. You can also purchase discussion guides at list price if you are not a member. With FictionFinder, you can search for books, eBooks, and audiobooks by titles, authors, ISBNs, and other information such as literary awards and book summaries. Now your library never closes! With our new digital
library patrons can browse, checkout, and download digital Audiobooks,
anytime of day from anywhere in the world. The new online service is available
by visiting our web site at www.ocln.org/eaudio. |
Getting started is easy. The service is available to anyone who is registered at an OCLN library. Just visit our web site (www.ocln.org/eaudio), install the free software from our web site, then browse our collection and select the titles you want. When you’re ready, check out your materials by entering your library card and download the digital books to your home computer. Once downloaded, you can transfer them to your portable device, or burn the audio books directly to CD. When the lending period is up your digital books are automatically returned — so there are never any late fees! Audiobooks (digital versions of traditional audio books on tape or CD) can be enjoyed on your PC or on hundreds of portable WMA/MP3 players. You can burn Audiobooks to CD and listen to them in the car or on any standard CD player.
